Stand Firm was a culturally engaged worldview conference run by Hope Reformed Baptist Church. Melbourne and Brisbane in 2025 were our final gatherings. This page preserves the story, speakers, and session recordings on Hope's YouTube channel.

Hope Reformed Baptist Church

Stand Firm existed to inform believers, inspire them, and send them back to their churches ready to stand firm in the faith (1 Corinthians 16:13). Hope organised the conference and hosted the events.

The conference is not running for the time being. Our Melbourne and Brisbane gatherings in 2025 were the final Stand Firm events we have planned. We are not taking registrations or announcing new dates at present. Hope continues to publish past session recordings on YouTube so the messages remain freely available.

Conference history

Each year Stand Firm focused on Christ's enthroned reign and the ordinary means of grace — preaching, prayer, and the sacraments — as God's tools for advancing His kingdom.

2020
Young Adults Conference
The first Stand Firm gatherings trained young adults in presuppositional apologetics and everyday Gospel witness.
2021
Against Wild Beasts
An apologetics conference on Scripture, culture, and false ideas — with Dr James White and Hope pastors teaching believers to answer wild beasts with Christ.
2022
In the faith
Stand Firm gathered believers to stand on Scripture and engage the battles of the day with Christ-centred courage.
2023
And Take Action
Sessions on Gospel preaching, church planting, reformation, and revival — calling believers to take action on what they confess.
2024
Revival
Sessions continued to equip the saints for faithful Gospel proclamation in a changing culture.
2025
Conquering and to Conquer
Our final Stand Firm events in Melbourne and Brisbane explored Christ’s victorious reign and His mission through the Church — Conquering and to Conquer: The Mission of Christ on Earth.
